I couldn't sleep last night I kept thinking "what if they take the wrong teeth out"? I know silly isn't it? But anyone that knows me will understand my fear of the dentist. In the military I had a fair bit of dental work done by...butchers!.. yes and I mean it if they were any good they would have been making a fortune out in civy street wouldn't they? I am not joking when I say that I used to have IV valium before I would even get in the chair, Helen my first wife will back that up. A quick aside after looking at my x-ray (not good is it).
You will notice that on my left lower jaw (x-rays are back to front) I only have two teeth left where once there was five, I admit that a couple of years back I had one out so that begs the question where are the rest of them?? and!! one of the two remaining teeth has to come out hmmm. Look at all the work I have had done over the years. So anyway this morning Lorni take me back to the dentist to begin treatment, today's menu consisted of a deeeeep clean and the top tooth extraction. My dentist is a youngish female who speaks dam good English thank god, after five injections she begins and by god when they say deep clean they bloody well mean it. Then time to take the tooth out another couple of injections...didn't work so another one, that didn't work either so one more stronger injection and.....didn't work. So a discussions and another look at the x-ray and she concludes that the massive infection that I have is blocking the anaesthetic So I now have some giant size horse pills to take to kill off the infection and they will try again next week....oooh I can't wait..
It's not all been bad news here though as we have had some pretty fine weather considering what is happening in the UK and America 21 degrees here today but yesterday I went for a wander about....
These photo's were taken just behind where we live not bad eh? even more so when you think of what weather is happening in the UK at the moment.
What my Daughter KT woke up to this morning in Swindon
Grandson playing in the snow
Son Steven went to work in Oxford in his Dodge this morning
This coming week I have still got a lot to do finish of sorting out bedrooms and then surrender my driving licence and swap it for a Spanish one, pick up my less temporary NIE return to the vets and get nervous again about the second attempt at pulling one of my teeth..oh deep joy.
