I have to say what a joy it is to have water and electricity this Christmas, we had Chris over for a couple of weeks which was brilliant I really miss that guy, Lorni got back from her operation in Lithuania on the 14th December it had been a difficult couple of weeks for myself as I had two dogs to take care of and I still don't know much Spanish and to be honest you can't leave the two dogs on their own for long so I was just about housebound again. Now obviously Lorni couldn't do much as she was still in a lot of pain and walking with crutches Chris turned up on the 17th which helped me out no end we got the tree and decorations up this year as well.
We had a turkey on order form the local butchers and we had found most things we need for a traditional English Christmas dinner but I was still looking for the pickles and stuffing. I was lucky to find an English food shop in Oliva that stocked everything we needed..phew!!
So this year Lorni cooked the dinner very carefully half standing and half sitting down.!
And I have to say it was brilliant everything cooked just right and as always far too much too eat but we managed it eventually.
We are now into he second week of January and Lorni is making great progress, this morning with the aid of one stick she went to the local butchers and supermarket and we live up a hill so that was a great effort, Chris is back in the UK and we are now awaiting a visit from Beth in a couple of weeks time. at the end of February my friend Angela is coming over for a visit then just after Easter my Grandkids are coming for a visit we are then going to have another visit from my Daughter and her family in August and then in September another friend of mine is coming over to Visit so going to be a rather busy year, Amongst all this I still have a lot of decorating to do and weight to lose along with learning this bloody language...No pressure then ..????
For Christmas Lorni got a new knee and an exercise bike to aid her recovery which she can't use yet, Lorni bought me something i Had never thought of and that happened to be a Drone a Mavic Mini to be precise, I have flown radio controlled planes before but never anything like this so it's a case of little by little my First flight wasn't too bad...
I have done a couple of other flights that are on my YouTube Channel nothing exciting jsut me getting used to the controls and the editing program, Hopefully by the next blog Lorni will be stick free and walking naturally again and we would have had a great visit from Beth.
